I have mentioned the tips for frozen smoothies with yogurt as well as their benefits in people life. Today, I would like to mention another type of smoothie is frozen fruit smoothies with orange juice. Like frozen fruit smoothies with or without yogurt, smoothies with frozen fruit and orange juice is also preferred by many people, especially women who always care about their health and beauty. Beside healthy benefits of fruits, orange juice also brings large of benefits to people such as enhancing immune system function, cellular repair and metabolism, reducing signs of aging, prevent cancer, improving blood pressure or lowering cholesterol levels so on.

Tips for frozen fruit smoothies with orange juice

Because of these benefits, people often combine fruits and orange juice in smoothies to improve their health. Here are some ways to make frozen fruit smoothies with orange juice.

1) mango- banana with orange juice

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen mango
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt ( if you want to have fat smoothie you can replace by fat yogurt)

At first, you need peel and cut a mango and banana into chunks then put them in the blender. Next, pour 1 cup orange juice and 1/4 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt into the blender with fruits. Blend this combination until you feel they smooth, when blending, if you want to make smoothie thicker, add more yogurt and continue blending. Lastly, pour the last product into glass and take a look before enjoying. You will very like the color and favor of this smoothie. It is like sunshine on even the most rainy or windy days!

2) Mango-Peach Smoothie

You can use fresh or frozen fruit in this yummy smoothie. But it is better if you freeze fruits for this.

Ingredients

  • 1 peach, sliced
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Like other fruit smoothies, you need wash and slice or dice them. For this smoothie, you need slice 1 peach and peel, dice 1 mango. Then put them in the blender with ½ cup vanilla soy milk and 1/2 cup orange juice. If you feel this combination is not sweet enough for you, add a little honey and blend all these ingredients until they are smooth as you expect.  Finish this you will have yummy smoothie for breakfast.

3) Tropical Cooler Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 cups pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup crushed ice( if you don’t use frozen fruits)

For this smoothie, you need slice and drain 2 cups pineapple, chop 1 banana (you can freeze them before blending). Combine these with 1 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup skim milk and 2 tablespoons honey to have perfectly delicious smoothie. Put all these Ingredients in the blender. Blend them to have smooth mixture. If you don’t freeze fruits before using, add 1 cup crushed ice to have thicker and colder smoothie. This recipe is really great for the summer.

4) Supergirl Summer Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas, broken into chunks
  • 1 cup cubed papaya (optional)
  • 1 cup cubed fresh pineapple
  • 1 cup seedless grapes
  • 1 cup cubed honeydew
  • 2 (6 ounce) containers fruit flavored yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3 cubes ice cubes (optional)

Put all these cubed fruits in the blender with 2 (6 ounce) containers fruit flavored yogurt and 1/2 cup orange juice then blend them. In case you want to have thinner smoothie, you can add more orange juice (there are lots of fruits in this smoothies). It is better if you use frozen fruits because adding cubes of ice can slightly change the favor of smoothie. It’s best to make this in summer because in that time, there is better fruit.

NOTES

  • With this type of smoothie, orange juice is the main liquid component.
  • You can take orange juice directly from orange or use available orange juice sold in store
  • You should use frozen fruits better than add cubes of ice to make smoothie cold
  • Mango, banana and pineapple fruits are very suitable to combine with orange juice for delicious smoothies in summer days.
  • Add yogurt with fruit flavor to make smoothie thicker and still keep the fruit favor of smoothie
  • Honey is also consider to be an extra sweetness for this smoothie

These smoothies above are very preferred in the hot summer. Choose fresh and frozen fruit to have better smoothies.
